Introduction
This winter at The Worthwhile Company, we decided to take our own advice. Our Web site was out-of-date–it was time for a fresh, new design to showcase the excitement we feel from our growing partnerships with you.
Definition
To keep up with changing design elements, usability and technologies, and for our site to be the most effective resource available to any visitor, we needed to update our Web site. We knew a redesign would be a massive undertaking, but once the decision was made to move forward, we were eager to begin–especially after a look at the first wireframes (the “blue prints” of a Web site).
Explanation
The project rolled on–from wireframes, to building the template in CSS, to content linking, updating, and publishing. We had done a good job of keeping the SEO spidershappy and now had many internal and external links to repair. We also needed to step back and look at everything through your eyes: did the content and resources we have on our Web site answer your questions and increase your Internet worth? A project like this takes the assistance of everyone on the team, and it helps us relate to the decision you face when deciding to increase your Web presence.
Reason
Our team is dedicated to making sure that you have the best information, help and resources available (that’s why we went through this process!). We are excited about showcasing our services–Software Development, Web Design, and Web Hosting–for the world to see! In addition to a new design, we have added a blog to help connect you with each of our specialties: Web strategy, new technology, and customer support. You’ll also notice Cody Webster has officially joined our Team page and is ready for another adventure.
Strategy
Amidst these changes, business continued as usual. After working many hours on this project our team is glad to put it behind us and move on to the next, but as we move forward we plan to incorporate what we have learned into our strategy when working with you. The entire process has helped us to improve upon what we already do best–Increasing Your Internet Worth!
