I’ve been blogging for Worthwhile for almost 1 year now. I know that’s pretty amateur compared to some who have blogged for years on end, like this guy, who, as of today, has blogged for 2,086 days in a row.
So, as we approach that one-year mark of blogging, I wanted to give readers an opportunity to see the best of what we’ve had to offer. Instead of doing a top 10, I’m going to post by category, maybe even including a wild card or two.
My criterion was value — what would help our clients and those who aren’t Web “experts” ? So, if you’re not an expert, these posts are for you.
- Web Fonts — a collection of posts on Web typography.
- Brand Importance — What your priorities should be in a (re-)branding process.
- Qualities of Good Software – Our CTO gives the skinny on good software. Make sure yours makes the cut.
- Tutorial on Transparent Overlays — For our adventurous clients who like a challenge.
- Colliding Generations — Help from Louisa with understanding an older/younger client or designer/developer.
- Using Video on the Web — A guide for you in using video on your website.
- Using URL shorteners – Should you? When is it appropriate? Dan Rundle lights the way for you.
- Coaster — Everyone needs some creativity in their life. Dave Ruse delivers the goods.
- New Media, Same Message – Inspiration to use new tools to support timeless messages.
- Home Page Design Philosophy (one, two, three) – Web Strategist Chris Rackley gives you expertise in terms anyone can understand to help you make your website’s home page better.
- Writing Web Content — My boss just told me to write new website content. What do I do?
- Master your domain — Dan Rundle returns to “Best of…” to give sound advice in the vast world of domain names. You can be the master of your domain.
There you have it. I spent time scrolling through our 28 pages of blog posts so you wouldn’t have to. I hope this helps you as you learn more about the Web, your website, and how you might connect better with your users.
Here’s to another year of blogging! <tilt>
