Droid vs. iPhone – no it’s not the latest installment of Alien vs. Predator, but it is the newest fight in the battle to dethrone the iPhone.
I was recently inspired by a CNET article (Prizefight: Motorola Droid vs. Apple iPhone 3GS) to personally enter the fight in a head-on battle against the two phones to see how I hold up in the ring.
CNET had five rounds: sexiness, navigation, features, web browsing and multimedia, and call quality. Each phone was rated on a scale of 1–5 by 3 reviewers. Winner: item with the highest average after 5 rounds.
Here’s how I did:
- Sexiness – hands down I get a 10. This was a KO, but I decided to let the two phones continue in order to be fair.
- Navigation – for sure a 5. I get around Greenville no problem. Sometimes I have to tell my GPS where to go.
- Features – 5. I have lots of great features. I can write, sing, act, eat, and a host of other mundane tasks.
- Web browsing and multimedia – 5. I’m a master web surfer and movie watcher. Must be noted that these two are NEVER done on the clock at work (in case Dan Rundle reads this).
- Call quality – 5. I can call anyone in the office really well. Just ask Leslie – HELLO LESLIE!!!!
Overall Average: Droid (4.6), iPhone (4.6), and me (6)
I win!
In all seriousness check out the article by CNET (here).
In the meantime, I’ll continue to use my old cell phone which works just fine. Besides, mine has a cool spinny wheel on the front. Beat that iPhone.
