I’m not sure what it is about wikis in general that are so fascinating, but I do know that it’s far too easy to lose track of time when searching for information amongst the many pages and links available. I can’t remember the first time I ever heard about Wikipedia, but I know that I spent quite a while wasting time even after I had found the original information for which I had been searching. What I have to offer today is a quote about technology from the Business Book Summary for Good to Great :

Software affects more aspects of our lives than I consciously realize sometimes. The post today is dedicated to one of those software programs that probably impacted a lot of us.
I have a confession to make. I love to type. I’m not sure if it’s an OCD thing or if it has to do with the way typing fast makes me feel good, but I love the click of the keys on the keyboard and the way my fingers find a rhythm in the words as I go faster and faster. Read the rest of this entry »

Last night we had the privilege of hosting a get-together at the Worthwhile office. 14 Senior Computer Science majors joined us for a night of food, fun, frivolity, and factoids (Doesn’t the alliteration make it sound so much more exciting?!). Last Thursday I attended an informational presentation sponsored by Clemson University at the Westin-Poinsett. The topic was Values- Based Leadership. The discourse was between two professionals, one from BB&T, the other from REALeadership Alliance. The passion and insight with which they advanced their respective views was inspirational.
